Refreshing the National High School Ethics Bowl’s Brand at 10 Years

The National High School Ethics Bowl (NHSEB) got a bold new look for its tenth anniversary in 2022-2023 academic year— a look purpose-built to match the energy and depth of the conversations the program sparks. At the heart of the rebrand is a fresh take on Auguste Rodin’s classic The Thinker—modern, dynamic, and alive with curiosity. A bright, engaging color palette injects energy and hopefulness while keeping things sharp and professional. Clean, accessible typography and greatly streamlined visuals bring consistency across contexts, materials, and chapters, making NHSEB instantly recognizable as familiar, yet novel and exciting. The result? A brand identity that feels as vibrant, thought-provoking, and future-focused as the students who power it.

The national rollout of NHSEB’s new look included a fun announcement video, a detailed set of branding guidelines to be used internally and externally by organizational partners, as well as a full year of consistent social and public relations campaigns to supercharge engagement with the program’s thousands of constituents—students, teachers, and organizers alike.
